Because ... "Hey, That's a Pretty Good Idea"
Welcome to FritzCP.com
This little corner of the internet is where I’ve parked a collection of tools and oddball creations inspired by my long-standing obsession with vintage air-cooled Volkswagens — mostly from the ’40s to ’60s. If it’s old, stubborn, and made of magnesium, I probably enjoy swearing at it.
Most of the stuff you’ll find here was born out of pure mechanical frustration. You know the type: what should be a 5-minute fix turns into a full-blown saga involving a stuck bolt, missing part, and an existential crisis. After hitting that wall a few too many times, I started designing my own tools and workarounds — simple, functional, and usually cheaper than therapy.
A lot of what I make is based on original VW tools that are impossible to find or painfully overpriced, along with a few fun side projects that somehow spiraled into real products. If you’re a fellow tinkerer who likes things that just work (with fewer curse words), you’ll probably feel right at home here.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out what I’ve got going on. This site’s still pretty fresh, and I’m always daydreaming new designs and occasionally creating VW-themed “art” when the shop is too cold to work in.
If you’ve got an idea, a weird part you wish existed, or just want to swap VW war stories, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ve collaborated with other enthusiasts before, and half the stuff here started with someone saying, “Hey, wouldn’t it be cool if…”
