This Brass Adaptor allows you to mount a Schrader Air FIll Valve Inlet onto a 7/16″-20 (Fine Thread) bung using sealant.
Confirm the thread pitch of your bung BEFORE YOU ORDER – Never assume. I do not have any list of models and bung thread pitches, so please do not ask.
Developed for use on my own Air Shocks that kept leaking down due to warping plastic and inferior Orings. Eliminate Plastic hoses and unnessary extra unions and adaptors to mount a Schrader Valve independantly (without a Tee). No need to constantly adjust pressure, These were made to direct thread onto Air Shocks to fill and forget. This replaces the alternative Monroe AK64 plastic dual fill Kit or other 1/4″ line retrofit kits to fill each shock independantly.
The Thread is Straight 7/16″-20 (Fine Thread) and WILL REQUIRE THREAD SEALANT that is proper for Steel to Brass Connections. These are not compression fittings, nor do they have a compression ferrule. These are NOT NPT/ Tapered/ Pipe Thread Pitch. Tighten only enough to seal the threads. The threaded inlet of common Gabriel High Jacker and Monroe Shocks have a unique angled / sized compression fitting type end that the OEM plastic 1/8″ air line ferrule fits into. Overtightening the brass adaptor WILL result in damaging the shock air inlet end rim as it is tapered and thin.
